WE ARE ALL CALLED TO WALK TOGETHER ON THE ROAD TO EMMAUS

WE ARE ALL CALLED TO WALK WITH OUR TEENS AS THEY JOURNEY CLOSER TO CHRIST

There were two disciples who walked away from Jerusalem after Jesus’ death. On their journey, they talked about the challenges they faced in the world and about how they were going to live in this “new normal” they processed everything that happened and was happening but still couldn’t quite wrap their minds around it all.

They felt defeated. Their hearts were heavy. The future looked bleak.

But defeat isn’t what Jesus had in mind for His Church.

Then the disciples met a stranger who entered into the conversation and changed everything.

Something changed in those seven miles between Emmaus and Jerusalem for those two disciples. Jesus entered in, and transformation happened. It started in defeat, and ended at the altar.

We know well that there are tough seasons in ministry. The funding isn’t available, you have lost some of your teens, only one is showing up, you are finding it hard to get leaders, the resources seem to be over your teens heads and they don’t seem to be connecting, your ministry took a huge hit with COVID and you haven’t managed to get it back up and running.

THE LIFE TEEN AOTEAROA EMMAUS NETWORK
LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH | 10-11 AM | VIA ZOOM

Is an opportunity to walk the road of ministry together, to talk about the challenges faced and the glory stories, to offer prayer and support to each other. Drawing on the wealth of knowledge and experience we have collectively; we can provide each other new perspectives and ideas.

The network will also offer practical support in using the Life Teen resources, finding the best resource for your group size and inculturating them to our context in Aotearoa

The Emmaus Network was born from feedback we received from our Local Ministry Working Group Surveys and Interviews in 2020 where we asked Youth Ministers in Aotearoa what support they wanted from our team, the chance to meet together and network with other Youth Ministers connected with and using the Life Teen Resources was one of the key findings. We are excited to be able to make it a reality.
